Wallpaper Performance Company

“In every second we are creating a moment. What more can an artist do for

their audience than create moments? Than create an experience that

resonates through every part of you. That makes you feel completely alive.”

Mission Statement:

Our greatest intention is to create performance that leaves the audience and performers feeling more connected with themselves, to their immediate surroundings, and to the possibilities that exist in their imagination.

Goals:

-To create choreographic work that offers audience and performers the opportunity to discover new approaches to their relationship with dance
-To stimulate a conversation amongst audience and performers regarding their continuously evolving aesthetics in choreography and performance
-To lead the practice of real-time intuitive choice making for both professional performers and non-performers
-To generate choreographic work through a process that relies on real-time intuitive choice making within a collaborative environment
-To garner a consistent company of performers and designers who are paid at a professional level
-To choreograph contemporary dance work in San Diego that is shared both locally and around the globe, advocating for San Diego contemporary dance both nationally and internationally
